How to Care for clip-in Extensions
There are so many people saying different things regarding clip in extensions and how to care for them. I want to share how I care for my extensions to keep them healthy, soft, shiny, and wearable for as long as possible.

Application:
Before applying my extensions I always very gentle brush them out removing any minor tangles. I set each weft out separately so I don't them tangle once they have been brushed. Brushing out with your fingers is a good alternative if you want to stay away from as much breakage as possible. Before each one is applied I spray a very fine mist of Organix Anti-breakage Keratin Oil. If they start to feel really dry I will use Moroccan Oil Treatment in Light. I put a dime size in in the palm out my hands, rub in my palms and rub into the lower half of my hair and style as usual.$7.99 |

Washing:
Let me start off with I try to not wash my extensions for as long as hygienically possible. Washing makes you hair dry out alot and the more you wash the less they will last. When you wash them unlike your actual hair they don`t get the same oils and nutrients leaving them dry and dull. When i do wash my extensions I get a hair band and tie the top of all the wefts like a pony tail. I run them under luke warm water and lather them very gently with sulfate free shampoo. I would suggest the Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo as an economical option, it can also be purchased at Walmart. I quickly rinse out the shampoo and apply L`oreal Color Radiance Intense rinse out treatment. The bottle suggest you rinse the treatment immediately but I leave it in for a minute or two and you can really feel the silkiness when you rinse. I follow up with the matching Organix conditioner and then put on a deep conditioning treatment. I find the Ion Effective Care Treatment the holy grail treatment that you can find at Sally`s beauty supply. After an hour I rinse the deep conditioner and set them out to air dry.$5.49 |

Removal:
When I first wore extensions I would just unclip all the clips and pull the ends of the extensions until they slid out. By doing this I found it much easier to remove each weft individually. Simply unclipping one whole weft and remove, then move of two the next. After either store in an extensions case or invest in a plastic container to store them and avoid tangles.Moroccan oil treatment in light can be found at Trade Secrets.

Bombay Hair Extension Review and Other clip in brands
With long wavy hair trending one minute and short pixie cuts trending the next day it`s hard to keep up with today's rapidly changing hair trends.Hair extensions are the perfect no commitment hair style that can give you sleek straight hair or big voluminous curls.
I`ve been wearing clip in extensions five years and theres no looking back now. My natural hair length is just at my shoulders and hasn`t changed length in years. I`ve tried many different brands and some are good and some are bad like anything.
Brands I have tried:
Euronext (Sally`s) 18` in Cool blonde
Pros: Cons:
-Soft -Thin
-Shiny -Dry out quickly
-Blends well -Expensive for quality
-Holds curl -Paint of clips peel
-Small clips - Silicon like coding
-Care and application instructions
-Minimum shedding
They lasted me about 5-6 months. I purchased multiple times due to convenience
Foxy Locks 210g 18` Ash blonde
Pros: Cons:
-Thick -Clips are too big
-Shiny - Sheds alot
-Soft -Dry out
-Blends well -Lots of breakage
-Website that offers care and
application Instructions
The reviews on these extensions are what won me over. They nearly lasted me 3 months before they were unwearable. Also because I live in Canada I was charged $70 extra for taxes through customs.I bought them only once.
Just recently I searched for a new brand of extensions to buy as the ones I have tried are just not cutting it. After raves and people who ripped brands apart I came across Bombay hair extensions.
From what I gathered it`s a company ran buy three sisters based in Vancouver. I did alot of research
and ordered the Bombay extensions. I ordered the colour Ash Blonde 20` 220g. I placed my order on a Sunday, they shipped on the Monday and I received them 8 days after ordering. The packaging is they best I`ve seen from any brand and they girl on the front is gorgeous. I opened them and they were too light for my hair but I did some colouring and toning on my actual hair to match. They offer a test strip that you can use to match your hair before unpackaging all the wefts and voiding the return policy. This really helps as telling through a plastic package can be difficult.s so far I`ve had them for about five weeks.
Bombay Hair 20` 220g Ash blonde
Pros: Cons:
-Soft -Sheds (minimal)
-blends easily -tangles easily
-thick and voluminous
-small clips
-lots of positive reviews
-website for application and hair care
So fair so well. Over the time I really will get to know how good these extensions are. Overall I`m impressed and hope to order again!
I will insert photos of them in and the packaging.
